1996 Olympics

Not just any Olympics - The Horace Mann Day Camp Olympics
If I've learned anything from Marcel Proust, childhood memories are worth holding onto.

Exhibit A: Table soccer perfection
Check out that beautiful wooden design.

A little steep, yes, but each goal tastes as good as one of these:

60 psi

That's what one of my tires was at one time (instead of the recommended 32).

Bottom line is:
I need a tire gauge. Digital? Hell yeah, that would be nice...provided it's more accurate than the best analog ones out there.

Which one? Dunno.
Surprise me.

Here's a picture:

Mean Cuisine

Normally, I don't read books. But a book about food? ..Well, that's a different story.

See this lab? It's actually a kitchen.

This guy's:

Nathan Myhrvold, certified BAMF

Tired of being a genius, Nathan decided to write a book called Modernist Cuisine.
It's being called 'The Cookbook To End All Cookbooks', and at this price it had better be.

Seriously, though, it looks incredible. A bible exposing the physics behind cooking? Who wouldn't want this? Check out these images taken from the book..

And if burgers aren't your thing, how about some stir fry?

It gets better...there's even a trailer.

If I ever had an idea for a cookbook, it would be this.

And...here...we...GO.

They say making a wish list is a way of putting your soul down on paper... a way of sharing with the world your deepest material desires. Because, after all, that's what life is about!

Let's get right to it. First, I'll need a way to keep track of all the nice things I get this year...cue
'The Calendar':

My understanding is that the calendar includes a different giant Lego set to assemble for each month...I'm guessing June's is the Taj Mahal! I'm hoping it's as cool as this:
